GM Quader trivializes allegations against his advisor. Jatiya Party (JaPa) Chairman GM Quader on Monday suggested that it is unwise to give too much importance to the allegations brought against his political advisor Alaudiin Mia regarding a recent incident.Alauddin Mia, also the district unit JaPa convener, allegedly threatened a college principal, Mofizar Rahman Miju, with a gun on June 24.
Talking to reporters at the Rangpur Circuit House on Monday, GM Quader, also the opposition leader in Parliament, said that the issue does not seem very important to him.

Alauddin Mia was not seen with the JaPa chairman at the Circuit House.Quader said he was not present at the scene but heard about it. A pistol was brandished during the incident involving the principal of Samaj Kallyan Bidya Bithi Girls’ School and College.
“But I don’t know whether the gun was real or fake. I don’t know if it was intended to threaten the principal. However, in a country where an elected lawmaker is brutally killed by his comrades and his body is minced, there is no point in digging too much into this matter,” he added.’
On June 24, the accused went to the office of the principal and wanted to be the president of the college governing body. At one point, Alauddin threatened Miju with a pistol. A video of the incident went viral on social media.Police seized the gun from Alauddin’s residence on July 2. However, no case was filed against him, and he was not detained either.
